I want to get some fashion tips and makeup tips anyone have any??
Posted by: | CommentsI just want some fashion and makeup tips to look stylin anyone have any??
If you go to Macy’s or Bonton (they both sell Clinique) they will do your makeup for you and show/tell you tips and ideas. They do it for FREE to try and get you to buy the make-up, but you’re not obligated. It’s great because you can actually see & hear a professional do it.
There are also a ton of youtube videos that do this–my favorites are Tricia Sawyer below because she gives a TON of tips and tricks.
Makeup tips for middle school girls?
Posted by: | CommentsI am in middle school and I wanna start wearing makeup that looks natural…I already have some but it just looks I little weird the way I put it on…any tips?
three simple things!
1.) clear mascara (which you put on your eyelashes obviously, and you can also put it on your eyebrows to keep them in place).
2.) peachy blush (put on the apples of your cheeks…in the mirror do a big geeky smile and put it right on the chunky part of your cheeks!)
3.) clear lipgloss (shiny lips make the face)!
** if you want to spice up your eyes a tiny bit more, get a pearly/ivory eyeshadow and just put a dab on your eye lids.
A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY for all of the above!

What are your greatest makeup tips?
Posted by: | CommentsI am doing my makeup for prom (my dress is BRIGHT BLUE) and i need all the tips i can get! thanks!
i need alittle more detail than that… like how do you apply your makeup… to make it look better?
hahahahahahaha
NO WAY would i wear like bright blue to match my dress…. that is disgusting. really thanks guys i so agree with the "subtle" is key its brillllliant
Putting on makeup is such a personal thing. It really depends on the person. Here’s what I’d do (my typical routine for going out):
1 - Try a mud mask a few days in advance, so you’ll have time to take care of any blemishes that come up (they might, you never know).
2 - Pluck/wax your eyebrows in the morning, and don’t wear makeup that day before you do your "prom look." Washing your face then doing it all over again can be exhausting, and it’s probably not that great for your skin.
3 - An hour before you’re ready to go, wash your face. Use your toner if you like, and let your moisturizer set in for five minutes or so.
4 - PRIMER. Find some sort of primer for your face to make your makeup last. I use Prime Time by Bare Escentuals.
5 - After the primer is dry, conceal your trouble spots. Blend in your foundation (don’t put on more than you would any other day - you’re not going on television), and lightly conceal again if needed. Green concealer works well on reddish areas, and yellowish works well on dark circles.
6 - Set it lightly with powder. Don’t take your compact with you to the dance, just take a mirror and blotting papers. If you can’t find them toilet seat covers work well (trust me, if you’re desperate enough you’ll do it to :P).
7 - Curl your eyelashes. If you’re using eyeshadow primer, put it on now and let it set.
8 - Put on your brow highlighter/eyeshadow base. I’d go with a neutral color with a slight shimmer. Glitter’s overdone - you don’t want to look at your prom pictures and think, "Good GOD, what was I wearing??"
9 - Blend in the shadow color on your lids. I’d use a light, shimmery gray or brown, depending on your skin color.
10 - Line your eyes. Remember - if you’re going heavy on lipstick, go light on the eyes, and vice versa.
11 - Blend in your shadow on the crease. If you used a light gray use a darker grey, if you’re using a light brown use a darker brown. If you’d like to go over your liner with the dark shade of eyeshadow you can do it, but only if you’re confident that it won’t run off while you’re dancing.
12 - Eyebrows. Fill them in lightly, and set them with brow gel.
13 - Mascara. Get waterproof/smudgeproof. I’m using some Cover Girl brand in a bright orange tube and it really isn’t doing too bad, I’m actually quite impressed for $5.
14 - Lip primer (if used), lip liner (all over lips), and light gloss.
Have fun at prom! Remember - the classier you look, the less likely you’ll be to look back and think, "What was I thinking?"
Makeup tips website with plenty of pictures?
Posted by: | CommentsI know there are plenty of makeup tips websites… it seems that most I’ve looked at have only one or two pictures that illustrate the tips. Anyone know of a website that has tons of pictures to help show what the tips are talking about?
MAKEUP TIP #1:
A beautiful makeover begins with the right foundation. Most women have yellow based skin. This includes most Caucasian and all Asian, Latin and African women. This is one of the most important makeup tips!
When we women with yellow-based skin wear foundation that is too pink or orange, it often looks artificial and two-toned. This is because the undertone in the foundation "clashes" with our natural yellow-based skin.
To create the look naturally flawless skin, you must wear a foundation with a yellow base. Sacha manufactures the only yellow-based foundations in the world. They perfectly match every complexion, leaving your skin looking flawless and natural-looking. You never look orangey, pasty or un-natural. When you walk into a room people notice you and not your makeup!
SKIN CARE TIPS
Clear healthy skin is the perfect canvas for makeup. Use Sacha’s simple but effective cleansing routine: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize, Renew.
For excessively oily skin use our Purifying Gel Cleanser to gently wash away the excess oils.
Regardless of skin color or skin type you must use a daily moisturizer with at least SPF 15 sun protection. This is one of the most important makeup tips. For dry skin use Sacha’s Hydration Plus Daily Moisturizer. For oily skin use Sacha’s Hydrating Daily Moisturizer. These moisturizers can be worn alone or as excellent under makeup bases.
FOUNDATION MAKEUP TIPS
For a great makeover you must start with the right foundation. Whereas eye shadow, lipstick, and blush accent the face, it is the foundation that sets the tone for a woman’s appearance. Sacha’s foundations are all yellow-based.
If you are like most women, you have yellow-based skin and must wear a yellow-based foundation. Our Sacha Foundations are available in cream, liquid, or dual activ (powder and foundation in one). Test your foundation on the jaw line or forehead.
Sacha foundation shades "jump" equally. On your jaw line, apply the shade you believe to be closest to your skin tone. Apply the next lighter shade above and the next darker shade below. The shade that disappears into your skin, is the correct shade for your complexion.
FACE POWDER MAKEUP TIPS
Set your foundations with a Sacha Loose Powder. Keep your compact powder handy for touch ups during the day. If you ’shine’ a lot you should use an oil absorbent powder such as Sacha’s Ultra Matte Powders in Light, Medium or Dark.
CHEEK COLOR MAKEUP TIPS
When applying blush use a darker shade to contour your face and "lift" your cheekbones. Apply from the earlobe downward to mid-cheek so you do not leave a"blob"of color on the cheek. Use light colors of blush to highlight.
EYE MAKEUP TIPS
Use Sacha’s eye shadows to reflect your every mood. With a bit of practice you can easily master how to apply your eye shadow. When applying eyeshadow, remember that dark colors recede features and light colors highlight.
Apply the lightest shade over the entire eyelid.
Apply the medium shade on the lower eyelid.
Apply the darkest shade in the outer corner of the eye to create depth.
Apply eyeliner with short strokes, starting form the center of the eye and working towards the corners.
Mascara finishes your makeup. If you have dark eyes use black, navy, dark brown or clear mascara.
LIP COLOR MAKEUP TIPS
Choose a lipstick which reflects your personal psyche. There are 48 colors from which to choose in the Sacha range.
Use a lip brush when applying lipstick. It will not only help define the contours of your mouth, but also helps to control the amount of color that is applied.
Applying powder lightly over the lips before applying lipstick helps it to stay on longer.
Use Sacha’s Vitamin E Stick under your lipstick to condition and protect your lips from becoming chapped and dry.
Use Sacha Lip Gloss alone to give a light, natural but finished look or over your lipstick to enhance its color.
For easy lipstick stain removal, apply glycerine to affected area and wash as usual.
NAIL COLOR MAKEUP TIPS
Select a nail polish to match the general tones of your makeup. For instance if you used natural shades on your eyes, lips and cheeks, then your nail color should also be natural.
CAMOUFLAGE MAKEUP TIPS
Use Kamaflage Cover Cream to conceal your skin blemishes. Kamaflage is yellow based and like our foundations will perfectly match your skin tone. Use it as a concealer or as a foundation.
FINISHING MAKEUP TIPS
Use Sacha’s Fix It Spray as the last step of your makeup routine. Spray from 8 - 12 inches. Your makeup will stay in place longer and will leave you with a more finished look.
